The Green Bay Packers quarterback will get a portion of his salary in Bitcoin and will also give away $1 million in cryptocurrency as part of a promotion with payments processor Square.
According to the tweet of Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, he believes in Bitcoin and that the future of cryptocurrency is bright.
For the first time, the legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback and three-time MVP is collaborating with Square’s Cash app to earn an unknown portion of his income in Bitcoin. Saquon Barkley, the standout running back for the New York Giants, said in July that he will get all future endorsement money in Bitcoin, and numerous other NFL players have also stated that they will receive a portion of their wages in cryptocurrency.
From what we know, Rodgers has had a four-year, $134 million contract with the Packers since 2018. He has also stated that he will give away a million dollars to his supporters who submit their hashtags on Twitter and additionally, use Square’s Cash app. Rodgers assures his supporters in the video that accompanies his tweet, dressed as John Wick, that they can go travel to the moon together.
